A global take on rare disease research: Maya Chopra, MBBS, FRACP

To find treatments for rare genetic disorders that affect development, Maya Chopra is developing stem cell-derived models of neurons from the tissues of people with rare diseases. She wants to better understand how their brain cells send signals and make connections, and find possible targets for treatment.
